HSE Appointed Person Workshop

The training is suitable for those unable to do the full day first aid training but who still wish to have knowledge of what to do in a first aid situation, or who have been appointed by their employer. 

An appointed person is someone your employer appoints to take charge when someone falls ill or is injured at work. 

It includes calling an ambulance if needed, looking after the first aid box and other first aid equipment, including risk assessments and keeping records of treatment given. 
 

This 3-hour workshop will provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to manage first aid situations and understand the requirements of first aid in a work environment. 

The workshop covers the following:

  •  Legislation
  • Equipment and facilities
  • Responsibilities
  • Accident Reporting
  • Risk Assessment of First Aid needs

Assessment and Qualifications:

Continuous observation with practical and theoretical assessments throughout.

You will either receive aa FAA Award certificate or a participation certificate upon completion. 

Cost: £375 for up to 12 delegates – regulated

Cost: £250 for up to 12 delegates – unregulated

 

Additional Information

Delegate Numbers:

There is a maximum of 12 delegates per course. 

Duration: The workshop is approximately 3 hours.

Apparatus used:

We use Laerdal Anne dolls – adult, child and baby, AEDs, bandages, Auto Injectors, slings, face sheilds, First Aid kits, plasters, tweezers, choking vests, gloves, manikin wipes, blankets, floor mats, ice packs

Infection control:

We have put in place extensive measures to ensure that our clients will be safe during our training and that together we stop the spread.

Refresher:

A refresher session is recommended annually. 

Breaks:

You’ll have a 30-minute comfort break during this session.
