Emergency First Aid At Work

This 1-day FAA Level 3 Award course offers training for a variety of emergency first aid situations in the workplace. It gives delegates the confidence to deal with any of these safely and efficiently. 

Health and Safety Law states that all employers should provide a safe and healthy working environment. This is even for those who are self-employed and have one employee, and all the way up to a large international business.
 
Our Level 3 qualification will provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to attend any first aid situation. Our Emergency Workplace First Aid Training includes an FAA (First Aid Awards Ltd) award regulated by OFQUAL. This training is provided by NUCO Training and is to the highest first aid training level available.
 

The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers the following:

  • The Role of a First Aider
  • Health and Safety Regulations (First Aid)
  • Responding to an Emergency 
  • Casualty Care
  • Unresponsive Casualty (Recovery Position)
  • Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Choking 
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • Bleeding (Minor and Severe)
  • Minor Injuries

Assessment and Qualifications:

Continuous observation with practical and theoretical assessments throughout. On completion of the Emergency First Aid At Work Training course assessments, delegates will be awarded a FAA certificate valid for 3 years regulated by OFQUAL.

All certificates are valid for 3 years from completion of the course, regardless of age. 

Cost: £600 for up to 12 delegates

 

Additional information

Delegate Numbers:

There is a maximum of 12 delegates per course to meet the requirements for the qualification.

Minimum age of attendance is 14 years for First Aid at Work. Please note that delegates cannot be the designated First Aider in a workplace until they are 16 years. 

Duration: The course is held over 1 day of 6 hours minimum.

Apparatus used:

We use Laerdal Anne dolls – adult, child and baby, AEDs, bandages, Auto Injectors, slings, face sheilds, First Aid kits, plasters, tweezers, choking vests, gloves, manikin wipes, blankets, floor mats, ice packs.

Infection control:

We have put in place extensive measures to ensure that our clients will be safe during our training and that together we stop the spread.

Refresher:

A refresher session is recommended annually. 

Requalification:

To re-qualify you must complete the 1 day course every 3 years. 

Breaks:

There are two 15-minute breaks and an hour lunch break. 

Lunch is not provided, but there are teas and coffees provided throughout the day.
